Han se verjaardag!

7 July we celebrated a very close friend's birthday. Han. We went out for a quick drink and then on Friday night we headed out for the real party.

At first we tried to organise a surprize party, but it turned out to be really difficult as Salome and I are the only two english ones and Han is normally the translater.

Friday night we started off at Eva's (the usual) while we were waiting for Jen to close her shop. We went to Yeonsan-dong to the Arabian Nights Night Club. Sounds very porno and all, but wasn't at all. Han reserved a private room for the party before hand and when we got there food and drinks were waiting for us in a very fancy room. I had a mini surprize with me and took out the balloons, streamers and sparkles I brought. We immediately started decorating the room and playing with the balloons. Things got fun from there on. We had a lovely dinner consisting of gimbap, fruit, beef jerky, pringles en so 'n bloed wors storie. After a few attempts on the noraebang machine we went down stairs to the actual club for some dancing.

As soon as I walked in, it felt like I was walking into a movie. It was incredible and very hard to explain. The club was massive and had an enormous stage and dance floor right at the one side. Every song was performed live and after each number the act changed. I have probably never seen so many lights and mechanics in one place before. Even the cruise ship clubs can come and learn from this place.

We danced the night away and just before we decided to move to the next place we went upstairs for a few more drinks. We finally left the club at just past 4 and went back to Eva's as it was the only other place that was still open.

After a drink at Eva's some of the people went home and Salome, Han, 'Adriaan', Rachel and I decided to go and have breakfast somewhere. By that stage the sun was already up and it was starting to get warm again. In Korea you can hardly find a place that serves a decent breakfast of bacon and eggs. Instead we settled for a delicious Japanese restaurant for some potato, mushroom and cheese skewers. Han had fish.

Salome and I still didn't want to go to bed after breakfast and decided to stay awake for the 9 o' clock Eclipse movie for some delicious Edward. :) Needless to say we didn't and instead, look what we found:
