It was a sad day in the life of Antoinette. The two dives for the morning was cancelled due to bad weather. Not cool bru! I was so looking forward to explore the underwater world of Santorini. Gizella and I had breakfast on our patio and took on the streets of Fira afterwards. The wind was howling around every corner, but we had so much fun taking pictures and missioning around.
For lunch we came across another lovely tavern overlooking the Caldera cliffs. We tried some Greek lamb for the first time and couldn’t believe how tasty it was. It was lamb medallions stuffed with carrot, tomato, peppers and feta.
As usual we went shopping after lunch and I found a traditional Greek cook book. The moment I get home, I’m going to start cooking like the Greeks do.
The afternoon we spent playing cards on the patio and drinking Smirnoff North with sprite. The weather got better the later it got, so it was really nice out.
Dinner was hot dogs on our patio. We got dressed and headed to Fira for a night out on the town. We started off at Murphy’s an Irish pub during Happy hour and soon found out that the Greeks like giving out free shooters. We made friends with 3 Australian guys and headed next door to Town Club for some dancing. That was when things got wild! I ended up on dancing on the bar… That was when we realized it was time to go home.
On the way home we stopped at the bakery and bought some pies and coke. We befriended 3 locals and enjoyed our pies together. They ended up giving us a lift back home.
